Feedback

Recent article has shown that Soap operas are becoming an educating part of society.

They have vital functions as they provide a helpline and an educational message to people from different races, ethnicities, sexes and ages.

I think this was clearly communicated within our trailer,
we dealt with issues of age, race clash of ethnicity.

Although its less than 2 mins, I believe we have performed well in terms of putting everything together :)

Current Process.

We have now finished editing.

Currrently we're working on our website using iWeb.

Also each group member is working on their own individual poster for our trailer.

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY

Due to technical difficulty and not being able to open our project on a specific Mac, we have decided to start from scratch again, although this is a major disappointment as we were so close to finishing everything we have done.

However, bearing in mind that I remember most of the scenes means that hopefully rebuilding our frames will be more easier.

From this experience, I have learnt that trusting one Mac and putting all the information into it is not enough, therefore saving it on a numerous source or by using USB and all sorts of other methods to back up the work is EXTREMELY important.

Now due to the Mac not accepting my login I cannot access our nearly completely work, so have to start again.

Not only has this affected our work, it has also meant that we are even more pushed to our limit to finish this off as soon as possible

Dramatic Changes To Trailer

Dramatic Changes To Trailer have been made due to lack of time, resources and props.

However, our new pitch has a twist, which links in with our group's trailer title.

Due to the shortage of time, we have devised a different scenario for our trailer.

We decided to contrast race through 2 storylines, the first, containing the 'wedding scene' and the second dealing with a bullying issue within the school.

This was achieved by asking peer members to act for us therefore the Asian scene has been dropped.

It was not only hard to find free time with certain people but also we were confused as to how to put an Asian scene together in terms of props and making it as realistic as possible.

Being found in a school enviroment we therefore proposed the idea of a school-involved storyline, bullying being the main issue, I think this has so far been succesfful as we are happy with our shots and with the messages of exclusion that bullies create, so that we can set new morals for audiences and let victims be in more advantage of speaking out.

By using the usual conventions of soap operas, we have decided to blend in those 2 scenes together to reinforce the flow of a soap opera by running concurrent storylines at the same time thus forcing audiences to follow along smoothly.
