10:55: Discussed the importance of central meeting point. A place that characters can relate to, although its a very important convention of a soap i think it is not so important to include it in our trailer. Trailers are short and mysterious, the less information you give to the audience, the more they want to know.
11:20: We briefly outlined other conventions to use in our soap, the representation of race is extremely important especially in the beginning when we are introduced to the impossible marriage due to racism. I think we need to look at it in depth and try to plan how we want to show this to the audiences.
11:40: Set ourselves the tasks of creating a name for our soap. We need something catchy but simple at the same time.
11:50: Meeting finished, objectives set.
Next thing to do:
Analyse and compare all our findings of the research of soaps we were all assigned to.
